Originally from a 5th generation farm family in the Red River region of southwest Arkansas, Adrienne Villar grew up surrounded by nature. It has had a lasting impact on her psyche, and is a common narrative throughout her work. She attempts to show a sense of peace through the symbiotic relationship of power and delicacy found in the landscape; as if nature itself is attempting to communicate directly with us. Villar earned a BFA in Photography from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and is a member of the Texas Photographic Society. Her work has been shown in galleries across the United States and is held in numerous private collections. She lives and works from the Houston area.
