Jenna Teti was born in New Hampshire where she made her love for animals known right from the start – her first word was “woof.” In her teens, with guidance from her father, a fine art photographer himself, she developed a passion for photography. Her favorite subjects were, naturally, dogs, horses and other animals. Following high school, she was hired to photograph the elite equines of the hunter/jumper equestrian world on the East Coast. After years of life on the road, she moved to New York City and focused on canine photography. Here she did candid portraiture for private clients, pro bono work for shelters, and even found herself at events such as the prestigious yet quirky Westminster Dog Show. She now lives in Colorado where in addition to doing fine art animal photography, she is working on a body of work focused on macro photography of flora. Jenna is able to bring out the character of the subjects or events she’s photographing. Flora or fauna, regal or downright goofy, Jenna has a keen sense of the individual.
